About Me

I am a cognitive neuroscientist studying how signals from the gut influence brain and mind. My research focuses on how the movements and secretions of the gut can influence our brain activity, thoughts, and feelings. To tackle these questions, I use tools such as functional magnetic resonance imaging, electroencephalogram, pharmacological interventions, and recordings of physiological signals. I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the German Institute of Human Nutrition with Prof Soyoung Park.

Background

I completed a bachelor in clinical psychology at Universidad de la Republica, Uruguay. I then move to Paris, France to do a master in Cognitive Science, which I followed by a PhD in Neurocience in the Subjectivity, Brain & Viscera lab of Prof. Catherine Tallon-Baudry, located at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris.
